Established in 2002, Social and Economic Development Centre (SEDC) focus its activities on two main areas:

- supporting the public sector and private companies in EU project preparation
- development of social entrepreneurship in Lithuania and neighbouring countries (Latvia, Kaliningrad, Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia).
 
Social Entrepreneurship
 
SEDC aims to introduce and develop the social entrepreneurship in Lithuania and the neighbouring countries (Latvia, Kaliningrad, Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia).
 
The social entrepreneurship programme was launched to foster the development of social businesses, which should contribute significantly tackling the most pressing societal and environmental problems in the region.

SEDC provides range of support for the social enterprises. Centre helps organizations train entrepreneurial skills, introduce innovative management solutions and ensure financial sustainability. In the long run Centre aspires to establish a vibrant social entrepreneurship cluster and continuously support the impact makers tapping the private sector investments.
 
EU project management
 
Presently staff of the Centre is contracted to work with half a dozen different EU and locally funded projects that are related to regional economic development, infrastructure development, employment and EU promotion in Lithuania and abroad.
 
The SEDC relies on pool of internal and freelance experts who specialise in project management, regional development policies, strategic planning, business development, tourism development, human resource development, employment other related fields.
 
We have full-time staff of 10 and turnover of arround 600.000 EUR annually.

We are interested in FP7 programme, Leonardo, INTERREG (we are eligible as project partners) and other EU funded projects across different sectors.
