In an effort to revitalize the Third Sector and promote innovative solutions to tackle social and environmental challenges, SEDC launches the Social Entrepreneurship Program. The Centre’s goal is to introduce and anchor the social entrepreneurship concept in the country, making it inseparable from the Third Sector discourse. SEDC will engage into range of activities focused on social innovation and entrepreneurship. This will entail consulting, training, public events and other solutions tailored for various entities in private, public, or citizen sector. For the NGOs, existing and potential social enterprises Center will offer extensive support: train the entrepreneurial skills, help introduce innovative management solutions and ensure financial sustainability. In the long run SEDC aspires to establish a vibrant social entrepreneurship cluster and continuously support the impact makers tapping the private sector investments. Besides the goal to become a social entrepreneurship frontier in Lithuania, Center aims to grow into an important institution for social innovation in the Eastern Europe. This will expand scope of activities to the neighboring countries - Latvia, Estonia, Kaliningrad, Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia. |
