The Social Business Idea 2010 is, as the name indicates, a contest between ideas – and not a contest regarding the best social business project that has already been realised. Your social business idea should have the potential to solve a clearly specified social problem: e.g. in the areas of education, agriculture, health, energy, finance, or the social integration of people who are affected by poverty and social marginalisation (the unemployed, the elderly, people with a disability, citizens who have a background as migrants, and so on). In six national preliminary decisions (Austria, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary, Serbia and Romania) the best ideas will be chosen which will then move on to compete against one another for first place during the European finale that will be held in October in Bucharest.

People from Lithuania and neighbouring countries are encouraged to apply - as long as proposed idea has potential to expand abroad and contribute to the wellbeing in the wider region.

If you want to receive feedback, the application period ends August 25th. In case you don’t need feedback, the deadline is September 13th.
